Orchard Place Christmas Gift Giving Tree
The Orchard Place Gift Giving Tree is up and ready to go! Every Christmas season, Immanuel comes together to bless those in need at Orchard Place with Christmas gifts. Orchard Place is a section-eight housing complex just south of Immanuel which we have adopted over the years for various service projects since moving to our current location in 2008, sharing Jesus and His love with the residents. We will be giving each of the 45 households a gift bag that includes a $25 Walmart gift card, a Bible, kitchen utensils (whisk, spatula, pizza cutter, silicone spoon, and ice cream scoop), paper products (paper towels, toilet paper, Kleenex), and some Christmas candy. We will also be giving each of the 75 kiddos a Christmas gift. Volunteers are needed to make this a success. How? Stop by the tree in Immanuel’s atrium, grab a tag (or two or three!) from the tree, and purchase a gift for a family or child.
Other needs include:
- Purchase 45 Christian Christmas cards and 45 treat bags (to hold candy) for the household gifts (please contact Teresa before doing this)
- Shop for any gifts that haven't been purchased (time frame is December 12-15)
- Help sort the children's gifts and wrap the 45 household gifts on Wednesday, December 15th at 5:00pm
- Help deliver gifts to Orchard Place on Tuesday, December 21st at 12:30pm
Questions? Please text/call/email Teresa Rost at teresa@rost.org or 970-218-0719. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of these families this Christmas as we show them Jesus and His love!
