Grace is at the very core of who we are as followers of Jesus. And it’s because Jesus is The Face of Grace – He is grace incarnate. That undeserved love that He poured out on us in Creation, by His incarnation, throughout His ministry, on the cross of Calvary, and through the empty tomb, is what allows us to be who we are, to live the lives we lead, and to know the certainty and hope of eternity. The beauty of grace is that it is not just this amazing gift that we receive from our loving God. It is also a gift that we, in turn, can live out every single day. We can, or perhaps we should, recognize grace also as a verb – an action word. God’s action toward us and then our action in response. We live it, we experience it, we share it with others. What an awesome life that allows us to live! Throughout this series, we’ll hear clearly about Jesus as The Face of Grace; and we’ll also see the many opportunities and encouragement we receive from our Lord for us to be The Face of Grace to others as we share Him and His love with others in our day-to-day lives. I look forward to resting confidently in God’s grace, to looking regularly at The Face of Grace (Jesus), and to exploring how He invites us to join Him in this grace-filled life we lead under His guidance and blessing.
